I think he really likes JJ, but just has high expectations for him.
I will say this, SU looks pretty darn good when he and Bell are stroking the ball. Taylor contributed a bit also which was nice to see, and Benny played very well. Goes to show on any given night...I think he really likes JJ, but just has high expectations for him.
These guys have these performances in them (especially Starling and Bell), now they need to find some consistency.I will say this, SU looks pretty darn good when he and Bell are stroking the ball. It’s hard to find consistency in college basketball as a three-point specialist. I’m happy he had a hot night. These guys have these performances in them (especially Starling and Bell), now they need to find some consistency.
Taylor made the same number of 3's as Bell and had 5 boards. Not a shot at you but this entire board just runs that kid down - he is no more or no less inconsistent than anyone on this team and in 18 minutes last night he contributed more than a bit.I will say this, SU looks pretty darn good when he and Bell are stroking the ball. Agree. I really don’t see the need for Judah to play iron man minutes JJ or Q can handle the point for 5-7 minutes a game. It’s hard to find consistency in college basketball as a three-point specialist. I’m happy he had a hot night.
It is strange that Judah played 39 minutes while Starling played 36, Quadir played 27 and Cuffe played 11. I’d have thought Mintz sat more with those numbers.
Taylor is mostly pretty solid defensively and on the glass while not being a black hole. If he can/could make shots consistently he will get moreTaylor made the same number of 3's as Bell and had 5 boards. *Q2 win as of nowCan we play some more Q1 teams like Pitt?
*Q2 win as of now
? That's an odd response... Pittsburgh's net ranking is 80, which makes that a Q2 win.Are you on the selection committee?
Judah overall played a poor game yesterday - hit his free throws otherwise way too many turnovers and just kind of out of itI’d have thought Mintz sat more with those numbers.
He forces it against Pitt. IMO he's done that in each of his 4 games against them. He'll be better in the next one.Judah overall played a poor game yesterday - hit his free throws otherwise way too many turnovers and just kind of out of it
Honestly feel like our best chance to get more quality wins will be on the road since A) most ACC venues are morgues and B) crappy teams all of a sudden become Q1 scalps. Can we play some more Q1 teams like Pitt?
He had a career-high 9 rebounds. Considering his previous high was 5 I'd say that's a pretty good night on the road.Judah overall played a poor game yesterday - hit his free throws otherwise way too many turnovers and just kind of out of it
Taylor finally hit some shots, but has really struggled, especially against ACC competition. Hopefully, this game gives him some confidence. Would love to see more mid-range from JJ-He is money there.Taylor made the same number of 3's as Bell and had 5 boards. Not a shot at you but this entire board just runs that kid down - he is no more or no less inconsistent than anyone on this team and in 18 minutes last night he contributed more than a bit.
that is why I gave him a nice mention. I never take shots at any of our guys even if they have a bad night/month or season. I support our players and our coaches because they deserve that. I am not a rich man able to contribute huge sums of money. I give a little when I can but I support the teams and I wanted to mention Bell, Taylor, Starling and Williams in the post because they all contributed , maybe not as much as JJ, but they did a real good job and I wanted to post positively about the team.Taylor made the same number of 3's as Bell and had 5 boards. Not a shot at you but this entire board just runs that kid down - he is no more or no less inconsistent than anyone on this team and in 18 minutes last night he contributed more than a bit.
3rd best BPM on the team at 10.4 behind Bell at 20.6 and Benny at 12.0Taylor... in 18 minutes last night he contributed more than a bit.
