And no benching because he breathed on somebody.
He did play 30 last game which no one had on the bingo board. I don't care what Boeheim does as long as the team doesn't start out laying eggs again. It's never a fun thing when the tradition of standing for the first basket extends through the first media timeout. Whatever Benny does tonight, I just hope he can put a second straight positive game together. He did 14/6 when no one expected it. Can he do it when all of a sudden, he is on the other team's radar?I’d be surprised if he has the stamina for that.
UmmmEveryone assumed Frank would average 15 boards a game after the VT game and we know that hasn't happened.
I agree to play Benny more but don't expend him to suddenly turn into a star by getting more playing time.
Yes give him major minutes. We have nothing at stakeHe needs extended time the rest of these games just to see if he's part of the solution next year. If he is then great, but if he is not we need to get a transfer forward. We won't know any of this unless he plays.
I was exaggerating with 'everyone' but after the VT game posters were basically accusing JB of holding back the next Dennis Rodman.Ummm
He only played so much Saturday because JB was saving Jimmy from 40 minutes of embarrassment. Would be shocking, imo, if Benny played more than 10 minutes tonight if it wasn’t a blowout.
Fact. Barring Jimmy or Cole getting hurt, JB is never sitting a healthy one of them for more than 15 mins in a game unless we're being embarrassed to a similar extent as Saturday.I mean we know this isn't happening

Until Saturday, Benny has limited his own playing time. Now, I bet he has increased it.Everyone assumed Frank would average 15 boards a game after the VT game and we know that hasn't happened.
I agree to play Benny more but don't expend him to suddenly turn into a star by getting more playing time.
To see if he’s part of the solution? We’re lucky if he still wants to be part of the solution. He needs extended time the rest of these games just to see if he's part of the solution next year. If he is then great, but if he is not we need to get a transfer forward. We won't know any of this unless he plays.
Agree here. JB may go out of his way to make sure that performance isn’t duplicated in order to have a presser where he can say, “…see, I told you guy’s Benny isn’t ready!”He only played so much Saturday because JB was saving Jimmy from 40 minutes of embarrassment. Would be shocking, imo, if Benny played more than 10 minutes tonight if it wasn’t a blowout.
The blowout is possible, again.Fact. Barring Jimmy or Cole getting hurt, JB is never sitting a healthy one of them for more than 15 mins in a game unless we're being embarrassed to a similar extent as Saturday.
I’m not sure if “lucky” is the right word. We have not seen enough. One game doesn’t prove anything. To see if he’s part of the solution? We’re lucky if he still wants to be part of the solution.
In this case, with our personnel of late, it proves the world.I’m not sure if “lucky” is the right word. We have not seen enough. One game doesn’t prove anything.
That play early in the 1st half where Jimmy tried his old man moves into the paint and Mark Williams jumped (and had his head at or above the rim) and swatted Jimmy's attempt like he was an 8th grader. He only played so much Saturday because JB was saving Jimmy from 40 minutes of embarrassment. Yup, he’s a terrible coach who only looks to embarrass his players.Agree here. JB may go out of his way to make sure that performance isn’t duplicated in order to have a presser where he can say, “…see, I told you guy’s Benny isn’t ready!”
Off topic, but I’ll never understand why the announcer was losing his s^^^ over mark williams improvement this year, he’s pretending like the guy wasn’t a top 25 recruit lol if anything he was playing up to his potential as opposed to outperforming. That play early in the 1st half where Jimmy tried his old man moves into the paint and Mark Williams jumped (and had his head at or above the rim) and swatted Jimmy's attempt like he was an 8th grader.
