That Clemson defensive performance was so bad in the orange bowl, I wonder if he has trouble finding a worthwhile job as a DC.

I wonder if he would come to Syracuse to coach LB's?

Probably wishful thinking. He's a good recruiter though.

We have heard several disturbing things about Steele's possible psychological breakdown during the Orange Bowl game. Multiple sources have said that he was calling plays from his days with the Panthers, which aren't in the Clemson playbook, and as such the players were totally confused. It reportedly happened during the Auburn game as well. I do not know if that is true, and frankly think it a bit farfetched, but I do know that Steele has a reputation for being a nervous wreck on gamedays. I'm sure most of you recall that he passed out on the sidelines during a game, and I have heard many times that he requires an IV for fluids because he's such a wreck and won't eat at all on gameday. Hopefully he can get these things corrected for his own health.

No thanks.

Hahaha...ok so maybe we don't let him call plays for awhile. Fwiw he's apparently a good recruiter and Clemson has been getting top 5 classes.

Spence could not recruit at all.. he was a dink and is a horrible recruiter

Sounds like another former Clemson Coordinator who Marrone hired

But now you know the guy's ceiling. Probably a very good position coach who was promoted to a role he couldn't handle. When a coach typically fails and is let go, many of them get success again by dropping down one spot, which is where they succeeded to get that promotion in the first place.

LB coach won't be calling the plays. And I don't think he'll signal in the Carolina Panther plays from the sideline if he's the relay guy.

Spence was given the same role at SU that Clemson fans couldn't wait to see him relinquish at Clemson.
