A young, flashy energetic coach can only sell a vision so much to the big prospects. You have to show evidence that you can win and send guys to the league. The HC need to hire guys that can coach and maximize the players they have. Be fundamentally sound and have a good culture of hard work and discipline. Have to get players to out perform their rankings. Once you do that it will get easier because your recruiting will improve and you wont have to live and die on your ability to develop.
