Tons of context left out of that. Can't imagine anyone starting the conversation off like that. Anyway, I met Stephon at a music industry event right after he signed. He was with Shammgod. I asked him, "why didn't you go with Cuse?" He didn't answer, but Shammgod said, "Cuse don't make no pro guards. Look what happened to Pearl."

Apparently the same can be said for Providence. Look what happened to Shammgod.

Historically how many SU players were spotted with nice cars on campus? Has that ever been observed?

It’s overblown and I don’t recall too many guys driving nice cars that the couldn’t or shouldn’t afford, but in line with this story, we were coming off probation and a tournament ban in 1993. I do recall Moten driving around campus in a candy red Lexus coupe the day after he took the BigEast scoring record from Terry Dehere (I believe it was against Seton Hall at the Brendan Byrne Arena).
