I sincerely hope it's not, but sounds good to me.If it’s within 14 points at halftime I’ll make your next car payment.

He leaned back and threw off back ft which created high throws. thought i counted 6 of them.
That's interesting. I was always under the impression a Big Time throw was in the backyard, age 7, using an ITZA ball, 3 v3 game on the line for the final 3 juice boxes and as your buddy drops back saying " Bob Griese back to pass" he throws an ITZA ball lazer for the game winner who one hand stabs it down the treeline past the two socks used as the end zone. Before someone asks:
What is a big-time throw?
Throws graded at the higher end of PFF's scale (+1.0, +1.5, and +2.0) are categorized as big-time throws.
A big-time throw is a high-difficulty, high-value pass. They are characterized by excellent ball placement and timing, typically on deeper passes or into tight windows.
These throws can also occur under challenging conditions, such as when a quarterback is under heavy pressure but converts a potential negative into a positive play. Other examples include tight-window throws in the red zone, where space is limited, or perfectly placed 50-yard shots down the field.

NFL Week 7 Signature Stat Spotlight: Big-time throws and turnover-worthy plays
Now that the season is nearing its midpoint, we have larger sample sizes to analyze and can start highlighting key stats from the database. This week, we're going to dive into a PFF staple: big-time throws and turnover-worthy plays.www.pff.com
not going to carry the team?! He just carried the team to a historic come from behind victory over a decent team.My superficial take is that some of the bad throws were just on busted plays and on others, he got lazy with his footwork (and doesnt have the arm strength to overcome that). The laziness thing would get to Board Messiah Eric Dungey too, just less frequently.
I thought his best throw of the night was the scramble/roll out dart he threw to Russell in the fourth quarter, immediately before the terrible pick he threw to the other side of the field.
I'd like to see Nixon get a little more creative with option/play action and get Angeli moving more, both on planned throws and with some short scrambles just to make positive plays.
Right now, I see him as a moderate floor/low ceiling guy. He's not going to carry the team, but when he's playing well, he's definitely competitive enough to win games.
For all the hand wringing about the defense, they were actually what kept us in the game and carried us to the win. How was this "historic" exactly?not going to carry the team?! He just carried the team to a historic come from behind victory over a decent team.
Over an elite team you might be correct but after what he did this week and in the NC playoffs last year I'm not betting against him.
time left, score at the time, at least that's what they said on one of the local spots reports. But no doubt you're correct about the D. Was nice to see. #5 is really coming into his own.For all the hand wringing about the defense, they were actually what kept us in the game and carried us to the win. How was this "historic" exactly?
#5 Deslauriers (sp?)…. The next Conley!time left, score at the time, at least that's what they said on one of the local spots reports. But no doubt you're correct about the D. Was nice to see. #5 is really coming into his own.
I disagree that he "carried" the team. He did his job well. Players around him stepped up and he did as well. I think there is a distinction between "willing your team to win" and raising the level of your play/making winning plays.not going to carry the team?! He just carried the team to a historic come from behind victory over a decent team.

Getting the ball into places where the WR/TE/RB can make the catch or nobody makes the catch is part of his job. Taking an avoidable sack = bad. Fumbling = bad. Interception = bad. Passes where receiver has no chance = bad. But if he can find a receiver with an opportunity to make a play and gives him that chance... he has done his job.I disagree that he "carried" the team. For the most part, this is true. I realize that we are kind of grading on a curve with the D if they don't poop the bed, but overall they played well. For all the hand wringing about the defense, they were actually what kept us in the game and carried us to the win. How was this "historic" exactly?
They need to start with some easy designed plays to get him comfortable. Don't ask him to do too much the first few drives unless the defense is clearly giving that up.I tink angeli needs to find his consistency… he spent most of the first half making terrible throws. Where as the 2nd half he found his stride some what, and especially in the 4th quarter which is where I think a lot of those big time throws happened. He just needs to relax and let it rip more. You can tell he’s thinking too much.
Hopefully with better knees#5 Deslauriers (sp?)…. The next Conley!
The fact we are running sophisticated plays with Angeli like we did with McCord tells me that they are very high on his abilities and he is executing in practice. We have to remember (I need to remind myself watching these games lol) that McCord has significantly more reps in practice at this point with his receivers than Angeli has had. They need to start with some easy designed plays to get him comfortable. Don't ask him to do too much the first few drives unless the defense is clearly giving that up.
since you're so interested in this, it's historic in this way too, as discussed here coming back with a 1% chance of winning at the time in 4th qrt to actually come back and win which has not been done before here is the implication. As they discuss, circumstances were such that it's never been done in quite this way before, that's "historic":For all the hand wringing about the defense, they were actually what kept us in the game and carried us to the win. The Tennessee 1st quarter and most of the UConn game have been questionable coaching from Nixon/Brown. I hated our lack of tempo against Tennessee. If we were trying to speed up the game by using clock, that utterly failed in a 4 hour game. We seemed like we were unscripted— deciding what to do on the fly. Tennessee was scripted— they had set plays for drive 1 and ran them. And then settled for a FG. Which is what the better team is supposed to do. Later, we seemed to settle in offensively. Quicker play calls. More effective.
Against UConn… it felt like we were playing Ohio State. Going for it on 4th down like we were never going to win with FGs. Tennessee took points against us. Terrible message to defense and kicker. You can win 3-0. Get the lead. Terrible call on 4 th and 2. The second series, we had a great call… and the WR failed to turn up field. Set up another 4th down…Needed to kick FG again there and took points off the board. Afterwards, everything seemed backwards, runs with Nixon, pass plays to Willis. We won, but it took the defense playing well.
Brown cannot keep taking points off the board. I think he was going for style points against UConn. And it almost backfired. The only stat that matters is wins. Beating any team with FGs is better than losing.
I will say that Angeli with 700 yards passing does not look bad when it comes to the next transfer QB. Needs to take better care of the ball. We pass too much to not have INTs… we need to limit sacks/fumbles. Team effort, but he needs to do better also.
Right, but why don't we worry about winning before worrying about blowing anyone out. Tennessee wanted to blow us out and kicked a FG on their opening drive. And it was a decent win for them.I think going for it on 4th down was more a function of wanting to make a statement that we are better than you. Not so much that we thought we couldn't win kicking field goals. He wanted to blow them out, and didn't.

I could see if you are up 3-0 or 10-0... maybe you go for it there. 6-0 and 13-0 can be overcome by two TDs. But when it is 0-0 or tied... take the points. For all we knew, both QBs end up getting injured and the game ends 3-0.
