It sure looked like to me that Clemson's strategy was to get Angeli out of the game. Falling on his leg on the first drive, multiple roughing the passer penalties, there should have been a targeting call.
Dabo's nice guy routine has always come off as so performative.I remember Dungey getting suplexed by a Clemson player. I don't buy the 'Dabo's a nice guy' line.
Come on gents the guy visited OUR locker room in DEFEAT to CONGRATULATE OUR team when we beat them in ‘17 saying how happy he was for us. A jerk doesn’t do that.Dabo's nice guy routine has always come off as so performative.
He's probably going to be in a situation where he won't feel right until the second quarter/half of the season. How Rickie plays this season will define the QB room next year. Either Steve will transfer or Rickie will. Jakari is definitely transferring. Not that this really matters right now, but this definitely throws a wrench into the future QB succession plan for the next few years. For me the way Steve was playing this season and especially against Clemson, it was his job next year for a run at the ACC title and then Carney taking over (or another transfer if for whatever reason he wasn't ready). Now things get pretty complicated if Angeli gets a medical redshirt. Would he be 100% for next year? Depending on how Rickie plays is he in the mix? Rickie getting and keeping the job for 2 additional years would almost certainly leave Carney on the outside possibly transferring. Again doesn't mean much now and a ton can change obviously, but its an interesting situation. Damnit I feel for Angeli, he was finding his groove
I've had chronic achilles tendonitis for years. If it goes, it goes. I rest and it always comes back when i ramp up exercise.Yep and right before the play started that he went down you can see he’s clearly moving it around trying to kind of “shake it off”, so it was obviously bothering him already before it finally went on him.
Same here, being self employed can’t afford being out as it’s why I’ve given up any ballistic exercises and try and always ask for an alternative to cipro when I have to go on an antibiotic.I've had chronic achilles tendonitis for years. If it goes, it goes. I rest and it always comes back when i ramp up exercise.
NoAny news on Jakarhi? Is he the backup to Rickie?

I doubt Steve will transfer coming off the injury. But he might if he gets an additional year if he's not back as QB1 at some point next year. He's probably going to be in a situation where he won't feel right until the second quarter/half of the season. How Rickie plays this season will define the QB room next year. Either Steve will transfer or Rickie will. Jakari is definitely transferring.
Jak just never figured it out... feel like he had so much potential ??Carney is now the backup

No
Carney is now the backup
“Collins is the starter while freshmen Luke Carney and Jakhari Williams will spend the week competing to be his backup, Brown said.”He's injured.
Carney isn't. Hence, Carney is now QB2.
