As an alum of NC, and with friends who are devoted fans, I have to say this is beyond awful. Can you IMAGINE how we would feel if we had a season like this? Unthinkable! We've had some bad seasons, but not like this. And didn't they have a bad one just a couple years ago? (All these seasons merge into my overly full geezer brain.) Holy living crap! I do not rejoice in this. I agree that all the air came out of the wheels after they knew Hairston was gone forever.

Better get UNC off of that fork and prepare it for Ohio State.

I'd say good thing they have Illinois and Penn State coming up, but they couldn't beat the Cornhuskers tonight. Even if they start to turn it around and get wins against Illinois and Penn State they then have to go on the road against Iowa and Wiscy for their next two beat downs. Follow that up with Purdue and Mich State and they will be lucky to be 3-3 over the next 6 the way they are playing.

And looking at 2014 and 2015 recruiting class rankings is depressing. UNC has like 8 kids in the top 15 locked up. They should be getting no one for such crap performances with a team full of McD's.

This year is critical for SU to be better than Duke and UNC for this reason alone. The splash *fingers crossed* that SU has made in the ACC has to shake things up for the Tobacco Road teams' recruiting.

We will probably have three guards drafted in the first round in three consecutive years while reaching the elite eight, final four and possibly better this season. I know it's Duke and UNC but c'mon!

That's the easiest way to put it ...they just aren't a good team. They can't shoot. they don't defend. They don't play tough. I think think it's a case of having a bunch of elite athletes that are mediocre basketball players. I really don't see them turning it around.
