People hate on PBR, but in terms for bang for the buck, it's definitely the way to go, and it's basically the price of crap-beer like Keystone but way closer to Budweiser in taste, IMO.

Most underrated beer for the price today. I found a case of PBR long necks in some dumpy drug store on the south side about a year ago for $10.99.

they didn't just give Pabst that blue ribbon for nothin!

When I was a freshman in '94-'95, I drank PBR for the first time and thought it tasted like what puddle water probably tastes like. I had it again more recently and like BK said, it tasted more like Bud or Bud Light. Either my taste buds got more sophisticated or the PBR I drank back in the day was incredibly skunky.

I still think the best value right now is Rolling Rock. I like it better than Bud/Coors/Miller and it's like $18/30 rack at Tops now.

Senior year in college (92) all I drank was rolling rock. This summer I was in Wegmans and they had the 30 pack of cans for $16.99. Solid deal.

Ugh...all mentioned are fine examples of P water that should not be consumed by anyone over 21.

I love PBR and Coors heavy domestic pounders., lawnmower, housework tailgates, etc. I tend to drink heavier beers in the winter..

PBR has defintely made a comeback the last 5-6 years

Old Milwaukee for me... Once sent a sample of it to a lab.

They emailed me and told me my horse died.

We used to play "Beer Hunter" with the little Rolling Rock cans. Shake one up. Put 6 cans in a pillow case. Pull one out. Hold it to your head and pull the tab. If you "died" you had to chug the frothing beer. Good thing our suite had tile/linolium floors.

There's nothing wrong with developing your beer chops with p!ss like this. We all went through it and I think to truly appreciate good beer, you have to drink the crappy stuff first. I didn't really start getting a flavor for good beer until I was about 27-28 years old. Now, I don't mind spending $ on good beer, but I do mind spending anything on bad beer.

Love me the UC!

Having a wife that grew up in Clinton, I have been forced to aquire a taste for UC... Put back plenty of UC's at the Rok as well as Alteri's over the past 15 years

I've been know to bring a case of UC to Fine Mess Tailgates in the Fall. It is a very underrated Lager. Shoot they brew Sam Adams and Brooklyn in the same facility.
