Strong game from Wes last night

Post game, Mike D'Antoni raved about him - said Wes is a guy who can change games with his defense, that he makes the Lakers better whenever he is on the floor whether he is scoring or not and that, when he does score, he is at a near-elite level.

I have heard all during the pre-season that the Lakers just love what he is giving them on the practice floor. Sounds like he is going to get his best shot in the most favorable situation as a pro this season, probably anchoring the second unit. I've always hated the Lakers, but I hope Wes turns me into a Laker fan.

I agreed with you up to the part about turning you into a Laker fan. I used to be a huge Laker fan when Magic, Kareem, Worthy, and Co. were there, however Kobe turned my stomach sour and I had to disown them. I will only root for Wes and that's it.

Marion was the guy I comped West to in a best case scenario when he was coming out of the draft. He's obviously not going to get there, but it looks like he might get the chance to be a solid contributor this year.

Look at that 2010 draft. Some guys who have been solid so far (Wall, Cousins, Monroe, Favors) but the best player in the draft, at least so far, didn't come off the board till 10 (Paul George) No all stars from that draft yet.

I used to be a Laker fan way back in the Dark Ages. The only NBA on TV was Friday night after the 11:00 news.
Always the Laker game with like two cameras covering the entire court. Wilt, Jerry, Elgin, Goodrich.
Then I started going to Manley to watch the real thing.
