Yesterday I was leaving Newark, NJ heading back to Philly area after another week of work and listening to WFAN. Traffic was pretty brutal south of Exit 10 on the NJ Turnpike, however, I was cracking up. Mike Francesa was absolutely killing Schiano and the Rutgers football program. Someone claiming to be best friends w/ Schiano called the show and claimed he would never leave RU for PSU. Francesa tells this guy in no uncertain terms that PSU (according to his sources) does not want Schiano and that Schiano is not on any list in State College, PA.

The alleged best friend retorts that Schiano has done an amazing job at RU and starts pointing to where he started from, all the bowl games etc. Francesa basically rips him apart, reads their schedule on-air ripping the scheduling decisions, explains that RU has yet to go to a decent bowl game and basically says had Schiano's predecessors been afforded the same huge upgrade in facilities and other amenities, they would have been just as successful.

Had to laugh ...

Peace

Had Doug Graber been allowed to stay he would have had the same or better success that Schiano has had.

And, by the way, Graber was funded pretty well himself - especially with the stadium upgrade that was made at the time.

heard the call the other day as well. Francesa always rips Rutgers. With good reason. As Francesa always sates Rutgers fans think college football started in 2006 the night Rutgers beat L'ville and the Rutgers fanbase is mainly 19-24 year old kids who have no clue as to what college football is all about.
