Was listening to a feature on the Michigan State defense (which is probably the best defensive unit in the country) a few weeks ago, and the name Max Bullough came up. Middle linebacker, nicknamed "The Computer", unbelievable knowledge of the game, etc. Turns out he is Chuck's nephew. Chuck also played at MSU, as did his brother Shane (Max's father) and another brother of Shane and Chuck's.

Turns out Max's grandfather Hank (who was HC for the Bills in the mid 1980s) also played there in the early 1950s (under former SU HC Biggie Munn; former SU great Duffy Daugherty was also there as an assistant at the time). You can bet they will all be watching Max and his little brother Riley, who is also on the team, as they play today.

Anyway, the Bulloughs have quite a dynasty going at MSU and a long history of connections between that school and Syracuse continues. Former SU QB Dave Warner, for instance, has been coaching there for 7 years and was promoted this season to co-offensive coordinator.

Regarding SU's bowl destination, if you are rooting for the Military Bowl in Annapolis, one person thinks the NIU defeat last night opened the door for Syracuse to replace Maryland in that bowl. Don't know how accurate it is but past history indicates that the Sentinel knows their college football pretty well. Maybe SU still does have a chance to play there.

Military Bowl sure would be nice for me. Only problem there is that the Sentinel has N. Texas opposite Syracuse. I want to say that I read in that WaPo interview with the Military Bowl director that N. Texas definitely would not be the opponent. It would be great if it was actually based on some info but he may just be plugging holes for the minor bowls.

This morning I've heard Beef, Dallas and Military...a good problem to have

Mark, you getting any of this weather front we got in Dallas? Let's go Heart of Texas!!

I just went back and reread your post, that's well done and you deserve some props for it.

Nice work.

Captain -Military
Beefhart - Beef
Beefhart - Heart of Dallas

Work with me here.
A lot better than Private Cowboy Meat which is what I get from Military(rank of Private), Dallas (Cowboys) and beef (meat).

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

You know what you get when you put those three bowls together?

Holy dog shet! Texas! Only steers and queers come from Texas, Private Cowboy, and you don't look much like a steer to me, so that about narrows it down.

The Sparts top recruit coming in after this season is guess who...another Bullough. The legacy continues

Would love Annapolis great time of the year to visit DC

I have a question,,,is this considered a practice going on today?
I would expect to only see the training staff there... none of the coaches... unless teams are allowed some practice time through today, which denotes the end of the regular season for all schools.

I've been keeping an eye on Max Bullough also. We could use another Mike next year and i believe he is a senior. I wonder if he could be one of those 5-yr transfer guys like Allen?
