Well that was a heartbreaker. NC State is a really good team. They took it to Iowa in Iowa City earlier this year. So close to a breakthrough win.

That was the play to win it, went out of bounds right by my seat. Valiant come back, it's too bad they couldn't pull it off
Credit to FLJ for a great play - execution of the pass was the issue. Fair (I believe it was her pass) threw it as if it was a lob pass for an athletic dunker - way too high and angled too far down court (almost out of bounds) than a pass just for a free shot. It should have resulted in either a layup, bank shot or a desperate foul by NCSt. Have to admit though , it’s easy for me to say to execute it in a bang, bang situation than actually getting off an accurate pass over the entire defense for a player quickly moving to the basket.

I think Hyman threw the pass. Great play design, bad pass.

Well coached team. Missed opportunity tonight, but lots to like.

FLJ is gonna get it done.

Yeah I mean put into perspective that it's a brand new team and what she has done so far and it's beyond impressive. Will be a nice returning core with more new faces as well next year.

Wooley is going to be all ACC before she graduates.

This group is going to win its share of games like last night against top opponents this year. Last night was rough as the refs really decided to call it one way and yet still a slightly overheated pass stopped a winning layup.

Good analysis. I agree it was a great play design from FLJ. One thing I would have done differently if I was here is 8 minutes is an awful long time to go without a single point in the 4th quarter. I probably would have used a timeout sometime in there to settle the team down and design a play to get some points and try to get momentum back.

Every game is an opportunity to grow; players, team and coaches. We have the seeds of greatness within and are seeking a growth framework for that to happen. With our staff; we will nurture those seeds to thrive, IMO!

Well 2 games we shouldn't have loss this one and Penn State, both where we had trouble scoring and finishing game in 4th qtr. Would have been nice to take down a rank team.

They had a pretty good game showing against Louisville too. The quarter to quarter lack of consistency reared it’s head there too. Taking down a ranked team would help in so many ways to put SU in a strong position helping recruiting, promoting FLJ’s vision for the program’s future etc. They are having issues with consistency and focus for an entire game. They are competing and showing nice glimpses of what could be.

The SU team is physically rather small. Hyman who is so talented, has to concentrate on eliminating her penchant for costly turnovers and consistency issues resulting in games where she’s totally on and others where she’s so off. We’re going to be losing both our best rebounders who are grad students next year, Strong and Lewis. Nice to see Kyra Wood stepping up but we’re going to have to recruit some more strong rebounders with an offensive game for next year. Losing Owens before this year hurt but she’d be gone after this year anyway. Any chance of Dyashia Fair returning for a grad year? Love her energy, creativity, willingness to compete hard when needed, not a great shooter but very good on the drive. Lots of recruiting to do to replace and continue to improve. Go SU!
