SU 68 vs FSU 67: Fri Mar 5, 2:30 PM [ACCT Qtrs]

They're not in Greensboro.
Engsler and Strautmane are good passers and ball handlers for forwards, but wow, they aren’t close to being guards. This is going to be a brutal matchup against UL, an excellent defensive team.

Unbelievable that all 4 backup guards got suspended. We still should have Flor Hyman, but she is out for the season with an injury. If Williams can’t play, we will be down 4 guards (suspension), and 3 with injury (Tiana, Flo and Priscilla). Wow.

Let’s hope and pray Priscilla is okay and can play tomorrow. The craziness of this season continues...

I’m sure it’s been said someplace on this website in the last couple of days but what the hell is the point of the conference having it’s own TV network if they’re going to play re-runs of crappy shows instead of the women’s conference tournament?

I don’t think I care what the logic or justification is, it’s disrespectful to the girls.

The ACC sold the rights to the 1st & 2nd Rounds to the RSN's long before there was an ACC Network.

Until the contract expires, there's nothing the ACC can do.

So Tiana can’t play. Priscilla is questionable. I heard on the broadcast that 4 SU players were suspended, including a couple of backup PGs.

Does that leave us with exactly one guard for tomorrow (Kiara)? How long do the suspensions last? It is crazy trying to play each day with one guard...
I don't see how Priscilla plays. Do we even know if she was released from the hospital? he also must have a concussion with that head bang. I think almost zero chance of her playing.

When Emily was interviewed at the end of the game she made comments about being motivated by some not nice comments by the Fl. St. coach about our players and Coach Q. Does anyone have that story, or know what was said, or even better have a video of it? Was it at the ACC tournament or after we played them in the regular season?

I just watched the replay of the game. Seeing her on the floor after she fell was brutal. She was extremely distraught and at one point with the volume up I could hear her cry out “I can’t see anything!” It looked and sounded like she was hyperventilating. They seemed to be focusing on the back of her neck. I can’t imagine her playing today. Hopefully she is ok.

I’ve always hated the idea of trying to draw charges. One because it rewards an unathletic move. And two because it can be dangerous and most of the players flop to some extent. I’m surprised more players haven’t injured their heads or necks. Jay Bilas says that 90% of block/charge calls should be called blocks if they were called by the letter of the law. I wish the refs would do that so that coaches wouldn’t teach their players to play defense that way
