SU 77 at Virginia 70: Tues Feb 8, 6 PM

Carr was taking the ball up the court on the sideline. The UVA player was standing in her path and then the buzzer sounded. The UVA player was still standing there so Carr just lightly pushed her out of her way. It was after the buzzer, nothing for the refs to say anything about.
my goodness, these refs are the worst.

Keeping with the refs are the worst, Syracuse had possession of that ball and the shot clock should have been reset. Styles should have been awarded the basket. That was another terrible call during this game

That McLean from UVA was acting like a nasty b!tch all game long IMO. She jawed at Murray a few times and was the one who trapped Carr on sideline at end of game and drew the phantom technical.

These ACC refs obviously favor some teams over others and typically the home teams have an extra advantage. Our players are playing their hearts out and having to deal with the garbage on top of that!

Speaking of Mir McLean, was surprise that NCAA allowed her to play for VA this year since she started the season at UConn. Picking up the McDonald's All-American probably gives Tina Thompson another year but could see Reiss going there if Thompson gets fired. McLean, also had made thinking about the portal and how quick players enter and get recruited for their next school. So, how quick after the end of the season do we have a coach named?

Was also thinking of this exact scenario just the other day with Reiss being a UVA grad and Tina Thompson's lackluster results each year she has been HC at UVA. And I'm not even sure if UVA picking up McLean will be enough to save her after this year IMO.

As I have stated before, I would really like for Tammi to be our next HC-- she is done a fantastic job at turning that Rhode Island team around in the short amount of time she's been there. If she had to choose between SYR and her alma mater, would she even give this one a serious thought? If the $$$$ spoke, I bet she would.

I did read somewhere where ADJW was asked about the women's program and if he has an idea about what's going to happen with Vonn Read and he said he couldn't give much information but whatever will happen will be "extremely well thought out".

First thing that popped into my mind when I read that was naming Reiss HC with retaining Vonn Read as some kind of assistant coach seeing as they have worked together before and such a brilliant mind in the game it would be sad seeing him go. But I could be totally wrong here.

Apart from Reiss, are there any other exciting candidates that posters on here believe should be considered for the job? I'll be honest and say that outside of watching CuseWBB, I don't do a whole lot of watching women's basketball, so I am clueless of some names/up-and-coming coaches that ADJW might be considering.

If ADJW is really doing his due diligence with the selection process than IMO he has 4 options that he would need to consider: 1 - Reed, 2 - SU connections, 3 - Head coaches/assistant, 4 - Other (former head coaches, wnba asst coach, former wnba player.
