As far as the kids missing school from the above comment, this promotes goals. They get to see college life in a fun way. Going up to the "big university" will resonate in some of their minds. Goals.

Just visiting a University at all is educational and gets children thinking about their futures, their parents too.

This year the kids seem more into the game as opposed to just being in the dome. They are cheering at appropriate times.

Admission is free today, I think it's great the university has these events for women's bball. Exposure is a good thing.

And for slower football games they need to bring in lots of youth groups to the dome. I have been saying this for years. Since it is not a school day, probably harder to involve the schools.

I know one issue is that many of the school’s own football teams play on the same days as the college teams.
