I am not sure she would be my choice at PG at crunch time between her, Velez and Camp.Schmidt getting abused on both ends.

I was just saying the exact same thing. Awful strategyWhy not play out that last defensive possession? It was a one score game.. if they got a stop there would’ve still been 15 seconds on the clock. Instead they run the shot clock all the way to 8 seconds only to foul.
I would go with her over VelezI am not sure she would be my choice at PG at crunch time between her, Velez and Camp.
Agree, can definitely see improvement in this team as the season has gone along. I think the area that is hurting them most and needs an upgrade is at the pg position. This team has really improved. They just need to get more athletic and more dynamic at forward.
Tough loss ! The team showed great effort, played really good defense and had a chance to win deep into the 4th quarter. I love the fact that the team hasn't given up on the season despite their record. Moving forward, I agree with your assessment at the point guard position. We expected a lot more from Velez, a 4 star recruit who transferred from LSU! Schmidt was a great 3 point shooter in HS and should be much better in her second year. For next year, our huge, glaring need is height! Next year, with the current anticipated roster, we will only have one player who is 6-3, Journey Thompson! Hopefully, in the portal, we can get 2-3 players 6-3 or taller who can play inside!!Agree, can definitely see improvement in this team as the season has gone along. Woolley didn’t make any contact and she had a technical foul and Krimill pushed her down intentionally and it’s a common foul. They never even reviewed that play. That whole end of the game really p'd me off. Krimili is a thug, and I don't use that term often or lightly. She had Wooley's arm and was literally pulling it out of the socket. Wooley was just trying not to get seriously injured.
Then on the free throw, she just turned around and took her arm and flumg Wooley down, and that was a common foul? What? And that really was the game difference. Thanks officials. Girls played so well, and fought so hard for that. And the Cal girls complained on every call for like 5 minutes.
That was a great pass and timing by Sophie and good execution by Shy (I think it was her) in that play.Oh ps. They used the Coach Q napkin play on the inbounds. Remember that? From Outback. ANd the announcers said something like "who drew up that great play" Not that I want to give Q any props, but that was his play.
It was. But I don't know if you remember it as the same or similar play Q drew up at Outback steakhouse and used it at a similar time in the game. I don't remember all the details. But someone on here will remember it, or I will research it.T

Quentin Hillsman is a baller. Just look at the way this man handles himself. Coach Hillsman walks into a room and is immediately the coolest person there. Last night his unranked Syracuse Orange women...www.barstoolsports.com
