Impressed with the hustle. And that they came back to have a chance at the end. I also saw some new players stepping up.

Agree, I too liked the new players who stepped up too - including Potts - great shooting, Thompson also really gave us an offensive boost- too bad she got in foul trouble , Burrows was awesome on the boards with 10 and 3 steals to go with her 14 points, along with Velez who had 10 assists. . I saw some very good aggressive defense in this game. We have some talented young players. Hoping Kyra Wood is okay and able to play again soon. The final score unfortunately didn’t reflect the closeness of this game until the final minutes. If you look at the stats above you can tell how really well we competed against a very good team.

I haven't been all that impressed with Velez thus far, but she really showed something today. Hopefully she can build off it. If Potts can repeat this and help Burrows and Georgia with outside shooting, even as other parts of her game develop, that would really help.

If another ball handler, maybe Burrows emerges to help take Georgia off the ball some in the open court to reduce her turnovers, Georgia had a very loose handle in the game and was easily knocked off balance.
