SU at Texas A&M (45-57): Wed Dec 4, 7:15 PM

There was a lot of standing around on defense, not boxing out that led to several easy buckets for A&M. I can't say it was lack of effort because they seemed to fight hard for loose balls. It seemed more like a lack of focus. Like they were all ADD tonight. Maybe it was all the dudes dressed in psychiatric ward uniforms ringing the court that distracted them.

Who recruited those players? What was our Offensive sets? We had the same problem with true plays last year but were bailed out by Fair.
I have posted before on recruiting: Because of the lack of financial support for women's basketball, we are not getting the top players that we are recruiting! We need a center bad...but in the last 2 recruiting cycles under FLJ, we have not secured one and it isn't from a lack of trying. Concerning offensive sets..or lack there of...that is coaching , but when your players can't make outside shots, uncontested, then contested ones are that much more difficult, and when you have no players who can drive, penetrate, get to the basket or pull up, you are really in trouble. Watch a couple of games and watch our fast break opportunities, I have yet to identify a player on this roster who is willing and or able to go one on one...or one on two and take it all the way to the hoop on a fast break for a basket or draw a foul. You tell me, how many players you see do this. This team has some serious flaws in terms of individual skill sets.
