his team has won 7 in a row and could be looking at 10 pretty soon. no need to go negative when they are one of the hottest teams in the country.

honestly, what do you expect him to say? we don't have a ball carrying attacker. I wish this roster was a little more diverse beyond athletic middies. And he isn't wrong, they probably score 50% of the decent looks they get, got to can more of those especially when they are limited and you also have tendency to take poorer shots.

Sure, coach-speak is to be expected.

That being said, I don't think it's as simple as he makes it out to be. I think the offense needs a re-think. What they are doing simply isn't working. If they don't have an attacker capable of dodging, then put together and offensive scheme that doesn't need one.

I think Trinkaus can dodge and sees the field well- when they are facing (wo)man coverage, maybe they will clear out and let her go one-on-one to generate more offense, creating slides and the kind of chaos that will make Volpe more dangerous, especially with the threat of Molly from the outside.

That is certainly a change from what they've been doing. Let's see if any of that happens today.
