Syracuse, NY - After handing the judge a letter of apology, Syracuse University starting linebacker Marquis Spruill pleaded guilty to second-degree harassment for his involvement in a December scuffle with city police.

Judge Theodore Limpert in Syracuse City Court then sentenced Spruill, 21, to a one-year conditional discharge. Spruill's charge of disorderly conduct was also dismissed as part of his plea agreement.

Good news. Don't be such an AH next time, Marquis! You can blow off steam, have fun, and protect your buddy without jeopardizing a potentially great career. Next time--think before you react. End of lecture. ;)
