A few of you nailed it in the other thread. Last possession game coming

I actually thought it would be more like 2.5 or 3. Interesting

I'm putting this game in the Pitt category. No matter how much confidence I have in our team, I see no reason to think SU has any conceivable shot at winning this game.

Theres about 8 threads on our game with UL on the Kentucky page. Safe to say all of BBN will be watching. Half think we cant beat UL, the other half think were too good to lose to them.

This team has the ability to win or lose any game it plays. The opponent is irrelevant.

This is our hardest regular season game of the year. If we win, fantastic. If we lose, eh, we're fine. We're still in position for a 1 seed in the East.

If I was a completely unbiased neutral observer, I would probably bet on Louisville.

Omar would say you're a .

Basically at -1.5 its a pick'em, and that is still respect for our program. Considering Louisville has owned us the last 7 games in a row. I believe that our team plays as well as Scoop and C.J. Fair take us. If good Scoop shows up we are almost unbeatable, but Fair does all the dirty work things that make our team roll. Fair needs to get us some ballboards(read Bill Simmons book on Oscar Robinson for that reference) and extend the zone out. We need to make Louisville beat us inside the arc. I believe we can and should win this game as long as we rebound if Pitino presses us he is playing into our hand with the transition game. Remember Billy Donovan specifically didn't press against us because he was fearful of our transition game I believe if Pitino presses the full 40 he is playing into our game. Louisville may press in spurts but doing it all game long will be okay for us as long as good Scoop shows up.

Well, they don't shoot that well. They don't rebound a whole lot better than us. They turn it over more than us. Pitino is a great coach and they'll be ready but you don't think SU has anyh conceivable shot- a bit harsh. If 'Cuse plays like they did against UConn, they win. Big if, but very plausible.

It's true that they don't shoot that well, but I'm fully expecting to see some nobody pull a Mike Marra and light us up for 4-5 3 pointers!

Or missed free throws in the final seconds.
But either of those outcomes would be preferable to the previous L-ville games.
Pitino has so owned Boeheim.
Time to stop that.

Yes, there is a precedent there and they'll need that if they're to beat Cuse. Both teams play their best, Cuse wins.

If we don't win at least one of these two against Louisville, I say pay the $10 million exit fee, get to the ACC as fast as we can and don't ever schedule Louisville again.

My point is that history has shown us that actual basketball factors don't seem to have a large bearing on these games. Exactly like Pitt. If Pitt rolled out 5 middle schoolers against us they would somehow hold us to 54 points and foul out three of our starters. Same thing with Louisville. Louisville's middle schoolers would drain 17 threes and force 21 turnovers. Somehow the actual players on the teams don't seem to matter. I stick to my feeling that there is no reason to think we can win. Until (if) we do. Then I will be a very happy guy.

Well it worked. Line moved full point to -2.5

General public overly influenced by the UCONN "blow out" score. "Smart" money should now flow to 'Ville.

THIS. I cant see a way of us winning this one. LVille would just have to be ice cold from deep.
