SU opens -1.5 over Louisville...

Wow. up to -3.5 now. Can't tell if its public money still or the sharps. Lets see if people are right about the smart money coming in Red later today

who know's it might even get up to -9. LOL

the only thing that bugs me is that we have to travel on a short turnaround after 2 rivalry games last week. Pretty long odds to expect to beat gtown, uconn, and ville in 6 days.

you're right. Louisville always seems to play us at the right time.

This team has the ability to win or lose any game it plays. The opponent is irrelevant.
You can say that about any Syracuse team in the last 35+ years! Though we must admit, this year's team is a little better bet than some previous SU teams. This game has little to do with how well UL plays. If SU plays well they win. If Su plays poorly and UL plays well, SU loses. If they both play poorly, SU will win. My gut says this team steps up and shows they are different than past teams. They are a national title contender win or lose this game. I also think JB is getting a little tired of losing to his #1 protege.

Pitino is going to have these kids AMPED tonight. He always has them geeked to the max to play Cuse. Whats the over-under on LVille players hitting the deck while our guys bend at the waist for a loose ball? We're too pretty for floor burns..

I'm a little bit scared, but I don't think a loss would be the worst thing for this squad.

L'ville played at WVA on Saturday...it's really a non-factor from a physical standpoint...kids are young and in great shape...now if you're suggesting being mentally ready or tough...that's a different story...

Our big guys and guards need to go hard to the rim. No weak ass layups. Dieng is playing GREAT defensively. He totally shut down Drummond. Getting him in foul trouble would be big. One could argue that he has made more improvements in his game than Fab.

Drummond didn't have his head in the game. Dieng is ok not great in any aspect.

That's just not true. He's very good defensively. 10 pts/9 reb/3.2 blks

Melo get's him into foul trouble tonight. Take it to the bank.

I sure hope so. That only happens if he gets the ball, makes some post moves, and goes strong. Bilas has praised Dieng's D all season.

He just seems clumsy to me.

All of the above is true--Louisville has owned us of late.

But I can't help but feel like this year is about taking care of all the old family business, Godfather-style.

Louisville: you're next.

I don't like this matchup tonight. I see Kuric going off on us, as usual and Melo getting into foul trouble again.

Plus, I think the guys might be looking past Louisville with the big showdown in Piscataway looming on Sunday.:)

Play off of Siva a bit. If our wings pinch up too much and leave Kuric/Chris Smith/Russ Smith open in those corners then we're toast.
