Whoever that ex-mob guy that Jim Rome is in love with was talking on his show a month or two ago and said he speaks to college athletes about gambling. Has presented at hundreds of different colleges and said he has never once been to one where at least one athlete didn't contact him privately after the session to say he was in trouble with gambling debts, many with very serious debts. Thus implying that players are compromised to the point of potentially affecting the scores in almost every single major college game. Who knows if true, but interesting.
