Yeah they aren’t as physical upfront as Clemson, which is even harder for us to deal with, but they are fast. The thing that stands out withNC is there speed on both sides of the ball.
It’s -8.5 and -9.5 at a couple books already
Yes this is a tough one. I'm getting a weird feeling like I had for Clemson, so would take UNC up to -12. Really hope I'm wrong. It’s -8.5 and -9.5 at a couple books already
Note: Clemson still not ranked.Only +7? No respect for UNC off the bye week
Yeah, and they’ve not only beat some decent teams, they’ve beaten them soundly. Pitt, Minnesota, and SC, all by 14-18 points.NC’s defense is getting a bad wrap, but they are really fast on the line and linebacker spots. Much better than last year. They have beat some solid teams and you don’t do that if you don’t defend. I saw them against USC and thought their defense looked pretty good. Their defense only has to be average if our offense plays like it did on Saturday. NC is also home. Their offense is also much better than Clemson. Unless they turn it over, I don’t think SU can score enough to win.
Ilike the over on that trend. The game after the Clemson game:
22: 41-24 L vs ND
21: 41-36 W @VT
20: 38-14 L vs WF
19: 52-33 W vs WMU (what a weird schedule that year)
18: 44-37 L @Pitt in OT
17: 27-19 L @Miami
Completely against what I thought. I figured there would be a trend of a letdown but there's a couple wins in there and a couple close losses. Last year obviously stunk and 2020 was just a terrible year.
SU’s offensive performance wasn’t in a vacuum. It was caused.NC’s defense is getting a bad wrap, but they are really fast on the line and linebacker spots. Much better than last year. I was wrong, they trended down after a win over another team with votes, clearly the media has very little respect for SyracuseNote: Clemson still not ranked.

Kinda what I’m expecting here - like a 38-24 type game.
Agreed. I think while UNC is winnable it’s a tough matchup on the road and I just can’t talk myself into at FSU at all. Besides that I think we can win every game left on the schedule and I think going into every one of those games I’m going to be expecting a win.I think this is the “Notre Dame” of last year. Shrader might be banged up. Clemson gave us our first loss.
We’ll score some points and hang with them in stretches but probably can’t keep up on their field.
FSU - probably just like FSU last year.
Think we can rebound and beat Wake and hopefully Pitt this year, and BC again.
Really gotta have VT and GT on the road. We clearly look like the better team than both of them at this point. Hopefully that’s still the case come November.
Very true!Mack Brown is always good for a W t loss per season.
maybe.. but did you watch any of the games?Yeah, and they’ve not only beat some decent teams, they’ve beaten them soundly. Pitt, Minnesota, and SC, all by 14-18 points.
