SU opens +7 vs UNC

It seems the team gets so pumped for these big home games that the pressure leads to stupid mistakes from the players and coaches. While I expect 4-3 after these next two, neither UNC or FSU are unbeatable and I actually think getting away from the Dome and worries about attendance and fan excitement is a good thing.

Whatever happens, this is still a very good football team and will have a great chance to run the table if we remain mostly healthy. BC, VT, GT and Pitt are terrible. Wake is the question mark.

Need to play a clean game. Need a healthy Shrader. Need our special teams to basically be perfect.

Not going to expect anything more from OL or WR anymore. I think they can be fine in our back five. Anything we get, great.

I hate this matchup.

Top 20 calibre speed and athleticism catching us off a physically draining loss to Clemson.

We cannot take the first drive off again.

Mid week the number has found some equilibrium at +8.5 across the board.

ML at +275 implies an outright win for Cuse at 27%

They're going to need a big day from the secondary and some good pass rush from a guy like Leon Lowery.

We can't put UNC in 3rd down situations and only rush 3 or 4. If we drop back in zones with no pass rush/blitzing he's going to shred us.
I agree. Would rather blitz (with a spy) then let him sit there and use his arm talent.

The delay blitz with WAX was the most rush we got all game..

I still think Clemson is the best team in the league despite their losses. Also, we were still in the game midway through the 4th quarter, until that last interception. Without the early turnovers and dumb penalties (whether warranted or not) we are probably leading the game at that point. I think Clemson is better than UNC, and I think we clean up the mistakes we made last week. Cuse by 3. LFGO!

I think we should do to them what Army did to us in the first half. Long, clock eating drives that keep their offense off the field. I know, it's easier said than done, but Allen looked good last week against a really tough defense. I forget what podcast I was listening to last week, but they said Dino has only won 6 road games in the ACC, and 3 of those were against Boston College. Doesn't instill a lot of confidence heading into the next 2 games.

Mandatory disclaimer, I get every team plays schedules of different strenghts. This is meant to provide relative performance comparison to date.

I like to sort teams by their combined total offense and defense rankings to get a rough metric on the overall team performance. It’s quick and dirty, doesn’t take into account efficiency stats, strength of schedule, or preseason assigned power rankings, just how have you done against the schedule to date and where does it stack up overall.

Clemson, Total Off 27, Total Def, 9. 5th best combined ranking out of 133 teams - they have played three of the best/better teams in conference. I get scoreboard but they really are very good all around

SU, 25, 19, 13th best combined - I get schedule, ……. If you stomp lesser teams consistently that indicates you are probably pretty good

UNC, 24, 64, 35th best combined

UNC’s opponents

SCarolina- 64, 125, 111th combined rank out of 133 - tough schedule
App St- 23, 66, 37th combined
Minnesota - 103, 62, 86th
Pitt - 123, 23, 71st

UNC has taken care of business against a solid schedule, should be a good game.

The delay blitz with WAX was the most rush we got all game..
Come on, they had three sacks, none by Wax and 13 TFL by 8 different guys

didnt say sacks by wax even if it rhymes.. his delayed blitzes caused a ton of issues for them

yeah money rolling in on UNC.. Though on VSIN a few said take the points.

It moved long before he got announced he could play.. Would a WR move a line anyway if he hasnt played on the field with this team??

so I take it no one is following the gambling sites about the game.

Line is still pretty low honestly, after Clemson I would’ve thought UNC -14, -10 is actually some respect

We did not generate much pressure last week and we could not get off the field on 3rd and long. Klubnik seemed to pick us apart with time in the pocket. I think we see more of the same today with Maye.
