That was very nice of Syracuse to have a welcome event for fans and players. I would assume that some family members are there to support the team.

I'm sure word from the shoot around will trickle down at some point. I guess we want Donnie to be healthy all season, so if it means that they take precautions now, so be it. It definitely hurt last season, and he is a so much better player this year. Hopefully he is not snake bit.

So, last night Donnie was not in a boot, and I did not notice a limp. He told all of us that he was playing today. But he knew he was not playing. It was already decided and known. Today, you all saw the boot was on, but he was very engaged with warming up the players, and cheering them on. He is clearly the team leader, playing or not. It really was nice to see. Hopefully, what Coach Autry said in his press conference will hold out to be the outcome, and that we will see Donnie back shortly. Can you only imagine the team we saw today with Donnie?
Today was so exciting for us fans in the stands, I know Coach, and many say there are no moral victories, but the prevailing feeling from those of us who witnessed the Houston game in person, we saw the old Syracuse is back, and we had so much fun and excitement watching and cheering and screaming, and jumping up and down. It was awesome.
Now I'm going to sleep and hoping we are ready tomorrow, because if the same team show up tomorrow, we beat Kansas. So sweet dreams of that happening.

I'm going to write a long post at some point about all of my experiences here. I walked into the hotel behind 2 of the Houston assistant coaches, I said, hey, did we sort of surprise you guys. And their reply was no. We knew you all had that talent.
