SU's tickets for the ACC tourney at Barclay Center are pretty bad. Per ACC policy, each institution’s ticket allotment rotates annually, and after having the best seat locations at last year's tourney in Washington, DC, this year's locations are behind the base line (map below). Also, with tickets equally distributed to all ACC schools, overall quantities are limited and the majority of tickets we receive will be in upper level locations. Therefore SU cannot guarantee lower level seating. (Limited ticket sales were made available to Orange Club priority point members today)

Face value of "strips" (which include one ticket for each session) is $415 for upper level and $615 for lower level.

This makes no sense in Troop's sober (for now) little head.

So say Cuse plays BC, and both fans are in opposite corners. All the Duke/UNC/UVA fans ect decide they are going to hit up their pre game pep rallies or whatever, and decide not to sell their tix on stub hub, who sits in the rest of the arena?

Is this how the big east tourny was set up too?

So the tourney that SU can bring the most fans to...let's give them the worst seats? Who gets paid to make these decisions?

Hopefully the team wins a few this year and SU fans can take over more and more as the tourney goes on.

There are always hundreds (thousands?) of tickets available on the secondary market. Stub hub already has a ton of them ---- both entire strips and individual game tickets.

Big East distributed tickets in a non-structured checker board pattern. SU seats would be all over the arena.

Last year, SU had the best (mid-court) seats in the house --- not that they did us any good. I think it is fair the way the ACC moves them around. By the end of the tourney... . everyone is sitting every where ... as fans of losing teams sell their tickets

It is fair. But to me it would make sense to look at where the tournaments are when deciding where each school sits. Throw the fans and schools a bone when they're playing closer to their home. If it's in Atlanta, make that the year GT and FSU gets good seats. If it's in Greensboro, take care of the NC schools. In DC, get Virginia and VT good seats, etc.
