Dear Mr. richmondcuse03,

As an influential human to Syracuse University, I hereby request that the Committee immediately suspend pursuit of one Heather Lyke to fill the role of John Wildhack, outgoing Athletic Director.

While Ms. Lyke had some notable accomplishments during her impressive career, today’s athletic landscape suggests key decisions at a peer ACC School could lead to a financial and perceptual hit to Syracuse University. I am happy to supply evidence related to legal filings and budget issues that have been vetted, but also, we need someone with experience on the media rights and revenue-generation side given the business realities of powering a top-tier, P4 University program.

I am sure Ms. Lyke could be an invaluable contributor to the University in a capacity that leverages her many clear strengths. That would represent the best of all worlds.
