SU Survey around AD selection

Can we keep the bathrooms at bird? That’s where I do my pregame porcelain painting rituals aka 50 shades of brown (assuming Hendricks is locked).
As AD, we'll have a troughs in the big, new beautiful tailgate compound.

No porta potties for the ladies...100s of porcelain babies in the new Buc-cees I'll build after I tear down a few more academic buildings

They all want to get rid of it. Their job is 50 times harder than it ever was now. When all is said and done, it's the fans who decide the fate of NIL in the future. I'm organizing a nationwide boycott of College sports until they come up with a collective bargaining solution to this trash...you in?
NIL can't last at consistent high levels. Short term pushes? Sure

Donors rather donate for buildings vs making 20 year old multi millionaires.

I responded and said don’t hire Heather Lyke.
Negative responses are generally not well considered in these surveys. But you can certainly respond in a way that carries an anti-Lyke connotation.
Where it asks for challenges to overcome note areas that she failed at while at Pitt. Where it asks for necessary skills list those that likely caused those failures.
Then write a recommendation for a preferred candidate. Ideally include evidence of those skills. I was able to do so in detail for my preferred candidate.
Much greater chance of having your response read if it comes across as more thoughtful than “Heather Lyke would be a disaster!”

As someone who designs and analyzes surveys for a living (among other things) I can assure everyone that your input here will be gathered, calculated, summarized in a PowerPoint... and completely ignored.
bingo. now, if you have a relationship with a member of the committee (including the SU employees on it), you should pass along your feedback directly to them (in a thoughtful way, as advised above).

And with a pretty nice check for the athletic department will help further in helping that feedback making a difference

hah exactly. the more money you give, the more influence you have.

Maybe the Syracusefan.com scoreboard facility at the SU Soccer Stadium will have an influence on Coach M's opinion on the committee...?

Originally I wasn't going to fill it out, but I felt good doing so and letting them know my opinion. I thought it was humorous that I could include my email in case the selection committee wanted to talk to me for further information.

I can definitely see that happening. Like never.

Posted in the Red thread but putting it here so it’s not lost for folks to respond to the survey around the AD search and add color around future of men’s BB if they wish given it has several comment boxes to respond in.
A few things:

1. Anyone can access the survey as long as they have the URL? That seems rife for shenanigans and chicanery.

2. Who did this go out to? ST holders? Donors? Students and staff? Anyone who bought a ticket to a game in the last couple years?

3. Soliciting the opinion of anyone besides experts and the closest stakeholders makes it sound like the search committee doesn't have their ducks in a row. JMO.

I can attest to exactly that as well but figured might as well share it anyways.

I posted earlier it was in an article. No idea how it was distributed otherwise.
