SU takes the field at Fort Drum

Ft Drum is going all out...when you have a 2 star General welcoming you that sez something. The Army's hidden agenda here: They have approximately 100 potential officers among these players...if they can get 2 or 3 of them to join the Army and go into Officer Candidates School (OCS) after they hang up Football so much the better. Also, most of you remember Floyd Little almost went to West Point.

This is such a win/win for SU/Army and the Waterown Town/Ft Drum Community.

BTW, the turf they are practicing on looks outstanding.

I have no clue where that field is.. There are a few football/soccer fields right down the road from where they are staying (if they are staying in the barracks they took a picture in front of) but I dont remember those houses being there..

Thank you for your service -- and I have to tell you, I'm absolutely loving the SU - Fort Drum connection. It's great for the troops to have a team like SU's practicing there and mingling with the soldiers, and I bet the players will leave with some serious life lessons.

Great idea...sell 10th Mtn/SU T-shirts with profits going to Fort Drum for returning injured War Vets and their recoveries.
