Somebody somewhere said that he was told he needed to fire his DC, and he refused, so he retired instead.

Take that with a pound of salt.

Also - by “retiring” he ended up getting all his guys canned.
But, it looks like the majority will land on their feet very quickly elsewhere.

I mean - assuming his former OC and QB Coach ever are officially announced at Syracuse.

Is there any news or any discussion that is focused on the actual topic of the 2 (potential) new coaches? I don't really need a weather report from my childhood, but might be interested in this topic. It seems to come up in about every 5th post.

Agreed, we as a group are horrific at staying on topic, and that includes me.

It appears UVA is going to retain their WR coach, an alum named Hagans. He is a well regarded coach and recruiter. My guess is that we might have been interested in bringing him over as well. We probably need to add a WR coach to complete the staff.

Though it could end up being a DL coach. Or a LB coach.

Maybe we go back to Sampson as the WR coach? I think Calvin Lowry is an interesting name.

I would also think about adding old recruit Joe Dailey, who is the WR coach at BC. Would help recruit NJ. Good young coach with some buzz about him. Working with Anae, Beck and Babers is a great opportunity for a young coach looking to grow and learn.

Well there's a bit of a news vacuum right now. Hey, if you think about it, a low pressure system is bit like a vacuum. And if you have a low pressure system come out of canada this time of year it could bring with it heavy lake effect snow... or maybe even a blizzard.

I haven’t shoveled any snow yet and I don’t even know if my snowblower will start. Only worn my “heavy” jacket like twice. Don’t even know where my windshield scraper is. No hat and gloves yet. This winter is nothing so far. It’s been like an extended late fall.

I had to shovel 2” of fluff off the driveway the other day, because my blower wouldn’t start.

Later that day what was left melted, so there’s nearly none left.

About to be Jan and we still haven’t had appreciable snow yet.
