That goal should never had happened. 100% preventable and careless. They should play with the urgency shown the last 10 minutes for the entire game.

The ball moves too slowly and they simply cannot score. Maybe they will “look better” when they play teams who do not sit back and are not afraid to attack. Should never have lost that game and a defensive error cost them the UConn game. Jonah L had some nice crosses and it was good to see him out on the pitch.

The defense has played well so far this year. Unfortunately, we haven't capitalized on other teams' defensive mistakes, so when an opposing team scores on a defensive mishap against us, it stands out more.

Our issue is our inability to finish. I'll have to watch the game on tape, but we had several shots on goal, but they were relatively easy saves. Our best shots were taken by Nathan Scott and Carlos Zambrano, neither of which made it to the goal as the shots were both blocked. Teams are packing it in against SU. I think once Duquene scored (yes, self-inflicted), they packed it in even more with a 5-4-1 formation.

Syracuse's passes are some of the least creative I have seen in a while. All they do is run to the corners and either try to dribble to the middle or wing a cross in the box. Too easy to read. Curious if even ACC teams will play 5 at the back against us.

It is unlikely, as it is not a common formation. Some variation of the 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 is the most common. New Haven will probably play with five in the back on Monday. After that, you will not see it again this season.
