ACCT Semifinals

I'm on the ESPN app and it isn’t showing tonight's acc games. I can watch Georgetown vs Providence or Harvard vs Princeton, but no SU vs SMU.
This has gone too far.

OMG. That was early season Orange out there, but SMU was at least part of the reason why.

One aside, and yes, I know it would not have changed a thing, but the VAR reversal of the penalty kick was the worst video review decision I have seen in any sport.

OK, I am over it.

LGO Orange do some damage in the College Cup.

And remember, they have been so much better that last 5 weeks.

It wasn't listed on mine. After it started, it wanted me to upgrade my subscription. I have the Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+ from Verizon.
It was better that I didn't watch it.

Awful, result but it should be noted that SMU was the preseason #4 team in the country. They struggled early but have things going well now. Should be a great final this weekend.

Thought SMU was faster and more athletic in the midfield. They owned that territory on the pitch and we had a hard time even clearing the ball over the midfield line.

Brunet (the pony tailed guy for SMU) is a terrific passer. Very impressive job overall by the Mustangs.

Zambrano was put up top and he barely touched the ball in the first half. You can’t have your best player completely out of true game by your own choice. Honestly we have struggled to get the ball to our 9 in scoring position all season.

Omeze got moved to right back halfback and kept getting abused by give and go plays. They attacked his side once a lot they saw he was not willing to follow his guy on a give and go and hustle back to cover him. Omeze didn’t adjust. I think they moved him the the back line after halftime but it was too late then.

I believe the format for,the NCAA tournament is the top 16 teams get a bye. The remaining 32 play with the top 16 of those teams getting a home game. So SU needs to be considered a top 32 team to get a home game.

I haven’t seen the RPI numbers after last night and the seeds will probably differ somewhat from that anyway, but I suspect we are going to be very close to the cut line for hosting a game. Getting killed might have cost us this privilege.

Happy the seniors have a chance to finish their careers with at least one NCAA game. Let’s hope they finish on a positive note.
