SU vs Yale (scrimmage)

SU down 8-5 at the end of 3.

Yale is pretty loaded this year but dissapointed with onky scoring 5 goals

Not surprising that this is how the game went. I think there are more positives than negatives. Ben Reeves only getting one goal! That guy lit us up last year. Offense is young they will get better as the year goes! I'm excited to watch this extremely young team play ! Only one senior in the starting 1o. Side note hard to tell but assuming they are still starting Cunningham, hope Dipietro gets decent runs this year as the 4th dpole.

Only one day of practice, Reeves scores one, and Yale stuffs us. What's to like?

Tyson B and Lauder have been clocking up the goals in these scrimmages!

My feeling is between the scrimmages we have played is that we are right where we expected good enough to beat Hofstra but maybe not what could be a top 3 team in Yale right now! We have to do a Duke and get better through the season! We shouldn’t be surprised if we lose some games early in the year!

Defence is good with 5 possible starters, faceoff numbers seem fine, middie spots are still up for grabs and we have 5 players that could start in attack!

Looking forward to getting going!

There might've been a bit of a revenge factor for Yale after SU ended their season last May.

SU is playing with very inexperienced players in a number of positions. Yale is probably a top 5 team. The final score makes sense. While Yale may have had few practices, they've probably also had small group work leading up to it.

Not much mention of who's playing SSDM. Anyone have any sense of that? Oladunmoye? Lauder?

Man up might take awhile to start clicking. The coaches might need to spend a little extra time on that and draw something up to generate good shots.

Sounds like Oladunmoye is playing for sure. I would assume Schwasnick is starting and that Hutchings is seeing time there as well. First game will give us a much better insight because as you noted there has been almost nothing on the SSDM players and starters.

Right, Hutchings! I forgot about him for a moment. Big SSDMs this season, besides Lauder if that's where he's playing.

I think Lauder is playing middie, one of the scrimmages he finished with like 3 pts, I find it hard to see him doing that from SSDM unless Dekso is giving him some run playing 2 way which I guess is possible.
