SU/WVU on ESPN, 10/21 at 8pm

score 40 and hit Geno Smith about 10-12 times and you may be in it at the end with a chance to win, trying to beat WVU 16-13 will not work SU will lose at best 37-16 if they try and do that, field goals dont mean much either

this is terrible to say and wrong to actually plan for but a couple 15 yard fouls isn't the worst thing in the world.

The key to beating Smith is to mix up coverage and make sure you are not doing the same thing over and over again and knock him down. If you can get pressure and screw up his reads you try to get him to throw into coverage. Corners have to cover extremely well and lb's have to come out of nowhere and make plays. WV is going to throw the ball 45+ times and hopefully more if SU can shut down the running game as well. Shafer has to find a way to rest the dline guys and rotate.

Well Brandon Sharpe is good for one a game, maybe he can finally earn one.

We can't be blitz happy, Hogorsen will destroy that. Have to mix it up, but disguise that as well. Holgorsen will still be smart enough to dissect what we're doing, but hopefully it rattles Smith. Everyone on the D has to play the game of their lives. If all that happens, you maybe hold WVU to 28.

Then there's the other side of the ball...

Yes, Sharpe and #85 backup TE are driving me nutso with goofy penalties.

We could use the Marshall plan and figure out how to end the game early to keep the score down..

don't forget, last weekend UConn was with them for 2 1/2 quarters. WVU just couldn't get into a groove.
