Such a stellar, senior performance from Dungey

Dungey was balling out. So awesome.

Unfortunately my DVR crashed (DirecTVNow) start of 4Q. We were up 41-27 then and didn’t get to see

CMU - 2015. TexanMark was gracious enough to share sideline passes with me. We looked at each other early in that game and discussed the “magic” Eric had.

It’s not always prototypical or by design, but, he makes things happen. He’s one of the most unique players our University has seen in 100+ years.

Enjoy him for the next 5 games that we get him.

Regardless of what the future looks like, you only get to see these characters for a finite amount of time. And I’m happy that his time has been in Orange.
He has a knack like Favre did to make magic out of poop. Absolutely love that kid.

Hats off to Dino for waking dungey up with the spot light .. Ik I was a devito kool aid drinker . But I did not want dungey to go out like that he’s officially a hof cuse player..

Dungey played a strong game. That throw to Riley on 3rd and 21 was the play of the game to me. Much much more accurate last night. Good on him for stepping up. He and Finley really put on a clinic.

It's also exciting to see that Devito throws a better ball than both of them. Bodes well for the future.

Yuuuuuuuge conversion.

So happy for that kid. That play he made on the td pass to Harris was epic. Completely had everyone biting and then throws a dime last second to Taj for the easy TD. As much as I love him, Devito is not making that play IMHO.

Speaking of throws, everyone has been critical of Dungey’s arm and decision making lately (including me), but he was throwing absolute dimes out there. The throw to Nykeim was perfection. As was the one to Jamal and several others. Darts.

Kid shut up some mouths tonight. Power to him.
I need a shot in my shoulder like ED got this week from the medical staff magic potion it must be

If Eric played like this the entire year there would have been no questions. Hopefully this was a sign of what's in store the rest of the season
“If Eric played like this the entire year”...he wins the Heisman.

All the more reason to keep him as starter w/ TD in the bullpen, should he stumble. HCDB handled this just right. It ain’t his first rodeo- and good thing he knows how to not pay any mind to the hot take of the week.

Dino said it in his postgame. He wants the “driver” to speed up into corners on the “racetrack” ... Eric was playing too safe, not chucking it like the offense requires. Last night he 100% did.

Yuuuuuuuge conversion.

When Dungey started shaking his left hand/wrist on the play before, I wanted Dino to put Devito in to avoid a reckless play. I was dead wrong. Great move by Riley to find a window and excellent throw by Dungey to put a dart right on the money.

Post game pressers by both Dino and Dungey seemed to indicate that competition lit a fire under ED. (Sounds about right as he is such a fierce competitor.) Eric said he got too comfortable.

Nobody mentioned injury or being banged up. Guess we will know the real scoop after the season is over. Certainly didn't look like anything was wrong with Dungey's arm from beginning to the end of the game.

Dino said both QBs were fantastic all week during practice. Referring to the competition, he said Dungey was like Seabiscuit - "all you have to do is show him the whip. You don't have to use it, just show it to him."

Whatever the case, Eric played the game of his life. He stayed in the pocket and made good decisions. He was clearly pass first and run as last resort. Seems obvious that was the game plan and what they practiced.

Nothing short of this brilliant effort was needed to beat a very good Wolfpack team.

Was surprised to see TD go in at the end of the 1st half. I am a huge Tommy fan, but not of two quarterbacks. If ED is healthy and playing well just leave him in.

We have 4 regular season games left and if Dungey stays healthy and can pass let's ride Seabiscuit. I can wait for Devito's time at the helm.

Mrs Crusty was ill all week and got worse as the day wore on. She really wanted to go to the game but just crashed and I did not want to leave her. Can't believe we missed the best game of the year. However, after sleeping through the game on tv, she now wants to delay heading South until after the Louisville game!

There are 3 guys I can think of that Dungey reminds me of, the way he plays the game, the way he carries himself off field: Brett Farve, John Elway and Joe Montana. I'm talking about in college, though after yesterday he is rocketing up a lot of NFL draft boards.

With 4 regular season games left is there any way we see Amie in the event of a blow out? Just throwing a curve ball out there.

That was a big throw and catch.

He obviously needed a push and Devito gave him one. I was critical along with others and we should have been. Eric responded in a big way. Getting his team bowl eligble while beating a ranked team. Throwing for over 400, 3 TD's and no INT's. He held the ball too long on a few occasions but that is what warriors do. Im glad he was able to rebound from that and make the plays down the field. He delivered.

That’s when this offense operates at its best. Have to push the ball down the field.
Exactly. When TD took over in the 4th against UNC, I noticed he immediately looked vertical and, more importantly, the WR's proved they could get separation.

Maybe that played into last night's game plan? I love it when the play calling includes stretching the defense.

Going vertical right from the get-go completely changes everything. Stretching the field early on opens up everything else. We we're able to attack the middle of the field all night. That's where Riley did the most of his damage. That should happen every single game. We have the talent to do it.

Got to give a little love to the receivers for the separation and the o-line for holding their blocks. Nice team effort on those deep routes.
