A Syracuse fan plans charitable event with Syracuse players, NBA dunk champions

Vinny Lobdell, a supporter of Syracuse's basketball program, is planning what he calls a "one-of-a-kind'' event to benefit the Orange players and local charities.

Vinny Lobdell is putting on an NIL event featuring the members of the SU basketball team with a different take. The prominent SU fan wants the players, particularly the Orange’s six new transfers and three of its incoming freshmen, to meet the fans.

Lobdell is hosting a unique event, featuring 3-point shooting and slam-dunk contests, at his Skaneateles barn on Tuesday, July 8.

This is exactly what this program needs to do to create excitement about this team. The social media updates are also good PR for the program.

Essentially it's an pricey ticketed meet and greet with fans and corporate sponsors that will benefit basketball NIL and hopefully expose the players to some key fans.

What a great setup that Lobdell has. Good for him.

Great video and had to check the roster for #4, #42 and #10. Its not Otis Hill, Louie McCroskey and Jonny Flynn.
