My niece runs a program in Erie, PA funded by local businesses that takes high school students on field trips to companies where they are exposed to different occupational specialties. She coordinates the visits through the various school guidance counselors. It has been well received by both schools and companies and she is getting inquiries from other states on establishing similar programs.
