One talking point this season was that it was a down year for the ACC and that Syracuse's schedule was weak. Syracuse played 6 teams that were ranked at some point in the season. Here are those teams at their peak rank.
FSU 19
Clemson 2
Pitt 24
NC State 16
Notre Dame 3
Boston College 17
The losing teams SU played were Wagner (3-7), FSU (5-7), UConn (1-11), UNC (2-9), and Louisville (2-10). Everyone else on the schedule is going bowling. Syracuse's only losses were to two CFP teams on the road and the Coastal Division champion on the road. One of our losses will be to the ACC champion and possibly the national champion.
Syracuse put a legitimately good team on the field this year, and we will get another shot at a ranked team in bowl season.
