Swag Daddy

That's a Shelby Cobra Mustang, my man.

Not just a Ford.

That it is. It's not an Orange Hellcat but it's a very nice ride. I liked that version better than the new ones. Of course your originals from the 60s are unmatched among any of the muscle cars but of the refreshes for ford I really liked these. Looks like a 2010 but not sure.

If he’s driving a Ford then I’ve lost all respect for him.

It’s no helicopter...

I hope you're not saying the Mustangs were unmatched. The 60's Chrysler Hemi's were over 500hp and the L88 corvettes were around 560. The 67 Corvette weighed about 3300...scarey.

My point was the original muscle cars are king just in both their lines and being iconic. Not so much in terms of torque and horse power. So while I love the new versions they are still a refresh. I love the Challengers for the sheer fact they are the closest thing to that original muscle car era.

Also the 426 hemi was running in the low to mid 4s not the 5s.

I wasn't clear on what aspects you were talking about. Styling, I agree. More power out there today but the cars are way heavier. Handling is far and away better today. The Hemi was indeed over 500 hp. They rated it lower for insurance purposes but it was the worst kept secret in the industry. I had a 65 corvette coupe with a 396 425 hp in it. HP/weight ratio was better even than your Hellcat. That being said, I will be looking for a Hellcat in the near future. Very nice car. LGO

Yeah on the Dyno they were running 450 to 500 on the 426s. I've rarely seen them hit over 500 stock but it wouldn't shock me. The 392 I had before was rated 485 but was 520 on the Dyno.

Hellcat is th same- much closer to 750 with all that boost.

And yeah not winning any weight to hp ratios on the challenger. It's a boat -albeit a fast one that can handle quite a few more turns than it's much older sibling. Very nice on the Vette. I'm sure she was a fun toy!

I had a ‘66 Mustang with the 289 High performance engine. So much fun, so I respect Swag, but a few GTO friends of mine used to rip me about my “small block pony” all the time. Would love to see a 302 Boss or a KR in my future, but my two kids will force me in a different direction.

I DRIVE A DODGE STRATUS!
