I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving. It’s been an honor to keep these weekly threads going in SWC’s memory, his passion and dedication still guide all of us, and I look forward to continuing this tradition in 2026.

1. Senior Day Energy Hits Different
Senior Day in the Dome always brings a spark. Players fight a little harder, seniors empty the tank, and emotions fuel big moments. This group wants to send their veterans out with a win, and that can carry a team.

2. Playcalling Finally Matches the Personnel
Syracuse finally leaned into what it actually does well — moving the pocket, using QB legs, and simplifying reads. If this continues, the offense could look more cohesive than it has all season.

3. Tylek Hill Is Electric in Space
Averaging 5.4 yards per carry, Hill brings juice every time he touches the ball. And BC’s defense is statistically awful — worst in the P4 in yards allowed, and near-worst in yards per play. Hill in space is a mismatch Syracuse must exploit.

4. The Future Leaders Are Already Emerging
Freshmen Antoine Deslauries (56 tackles, 2.5 TFL, 3 FF) and Demetres Samuels Jr. (44 tackles, 3 TFL, 1 INT, 8 PBUs) have been phenomenal. Expect both to cap their breakout seasons with another strong performance.

5. Boston College’s Defense Is Historically Bad
The Eagles rank:
• Worst in the Power 4 in yards per game
• 2nd worst in the Power 4 in yards per play
• 2nd worst in the Power 4 in total defense
Syracuse doesn’t need fireworks — just consistent execution — to move the ball.

6. BC Turns the Ball Over ,A Lot
BC has the 3rd most turnovers in the Power 4. Syracuse’s defense is built to capitalize with aggressive young playmakers who punch at the ball and jump routes.

7. Stonehouse Is an NFL-Caliber Weapon
19 punts over 50 yards, 14 inside the 20, and a 46.85 average. He flips the field, steals hidden yards, and forces offenses to drive long fields. This might be his final college showcase before Sundays.

8. Tripp Woody Has Been Rock-Solid
A 10-for-12 field goal season is exactly what Syracuse needs. In a game between two turnover-prone offenses, consistent points matter — a lot.

9. Both Teams Are Limping to the Finish Line
Let’s call it what it is: neither Syracuse nor Boston College is coming into this game hot. But Syracuse has the Senior Day spark, the home crowd, and a hungry young core eager to finish strong. Motivation matters in late November.

Posted in memory of our friend, carrying on the tradition.
