Symir

Checked his stats the other night and saw that, how the hell is 7.2 assists a game 5th in the nation?
I think college scorekeepers are extremely conservative with what they consider an assist. When MCW was 5th the country in 2013 he “only” averaged 7.3. Symir’s numbers appear to be typical of where the national leaders usually are.

How our expatriates are doing:

John Bol Ajak and Jalen Carey entered the transfer portal and never came out.

Could that team beat our present team? I don't know but I think they would shoot the ball better from outside. I'd love to see Maliq Brown guarding Jesse Edwards and Kadary Richmond vs. Judah MIntz. Keep two things in mind: these are older players than our current group who have had a chance to develop their bodies and their games and a couple of them are performing at a lower level of competition. As a group, they were mostly good recruits who, for one reason or another, didn't work out here and have landed in a good spot for them. Good luck to them - and to us.

That team would decimate this team by 20-30 points.

Agree. Making things look Effortless sometimes looks like not giving effort. Kadary has been great and will probably end up 2nd team all Big East

Having a terrific first half against a very good (and highly ranked) Marquette squad.

Nonsense. Cmon. We had those guys and we were barely .500. Half are barely getting off the bench at their current teams. Quincy is like 26 years old.

Goodine and Braswell are coming off of season ending injuries from last year and Woody is at George Mason now

Thanks. I made the correction. (I looked at his numbers, not the school.)

Having a terrific first half against a very good (and highly ranked) Marquette squad.

They beat Marquette78-75 and KR had 21 points, 3 rebs and 5 assists. :) But Joe's team lost to UNC 55-65 and Joe was 1 for 10 for 5 points! :(

(Or do you turn the smiles and frowns upside down?)

Despite the narrative, Richmond's biggest reason for leaving Syracuse was that the coaching staff stopped him from shooting from the three point line and, in his words he needed "to go someplace to show off my entire game." Interesting to see he is shooting 15% for Seton Hall this year from 3 and shooting less than 2 per game.

being 26 is a bonus not a detriment...quincy just put up like 18 and 10 in a close loss to purdue...imagine benny doing that...the board would crash

a starting 5 of:

kadary, joe, jesse, quincy and braswell/woody...could probably be a top 25 ish team, imo...heck 3 of those guys are currently on ranked teams or have been this season.

avg age is like 23 or what? definite edge there.

then symir, goodine, woody/braswell, anselem - kinda weak but at least servicable

imagine having kadary, quincy and jesse on this roster...thats a final 4 contender.

15% three point shooters shouldn’t be shooting more than zero a game.JB had his faults but not letting Kadary shoot from 3 ain’t one of them.
