I have recently accepted a job in Boston and with the season coming up will need somewhere to watch the away games. I have seen that Pour House used to be the bar to watch games however it seems it has closed due to COVID. Does anyone know of any other options in Boston?

Join the Syracuse University Alumni Club of Boston (suinboston@gmail.com) - Log into Facebook if you're on Facebook. You'll get an email blast with game watch info.

You are correct - The Pour House was the game watch HQ, but it has closed permanently.
Pour House is gone?! Mediocre food but had a lot of good times down in the basement yelling my ass off at the TVs, probably with some of you goons.

Yup.

Student working at Conley’s Pub and Grille in Watertown, MA. Come say hi and G’Ahhhhhrnge

Cityside Tavern, on (or just off) the BC campus.

Every game I went to there, SU fans took the place over.

What is it?
ITS A BABY FECKING WHALE, JAY!

It's a perfectly healthy Ocean Sun Fish warming itself at the surface. They just float on the top flopping around like a dying towel. If you're not with someone who knows what it is? You'd be "Jay! It's a baby freaking whale, kid!" Too.. (I was lucky. You see em a bunch if you're going fishing out 30, and 70 miles- where the Cod/Haddock are)

I think most in the Boston Area have seen that vid, because it's nearly certain you've met "that guy", kid.

That is an incredible video and I will forever be indebted to you for sharing it.
Welcome to Boston. Went Viral years ago. There's more BTW Might be funnier. He really loses his mind when they catch it... Start at 5:00 minutes for the catch.

Some of the mash ups were pretty funny. This cut is a riot. Click it.

Yeah. There are a LOT of guys like that. Just a beautiful combination of absolutely zero filter and time between the thought occurring and the mouth verbalizing the thought, using a limited ability to self-express.

Compared to 40 years ago, far less of those thick accents. As a transplant from just outside NYC, I had an English teacher I often struggled to understand. What is a Kaah? In context, Pack the Kaah in the dawe yahhd, was easier to understand. Once you understood that "door yard" was the "yard" in front of that big door(your garage door). Meaning driveway. The old timers were tough to understand.

Even with less accents, "Wicked" is never going away. To be clear, its almost always followed by @hhkin. In this context, The Paw House was a Wicked @hhkin good Cuse spawts bahh. Plenty of Cuse alum around.

I hate it, maybe more than I hate Rutgers, hate it when people find out I’m from here and say “oooOOOOOoooh did you PAAAAAHK your CAAAAAH in HAHVID YAAHD?????”

No, dummy. It’s illegal. You can’t park your car in Harvard Yard. Pound sand.

Yepp. Besides, everyone knows, "You gotta paahk at Hahvid skwaaih. " I might be up for a Cuse game in Boston, as long as "I can hop the T, guy."

Just don’t talk too loud at their football stadium. Bnoro and I got in trouble for that.

How DARE you!

Not surprising. The North Shore "might" be the Karen epicenter of the Universe.

This arrow is just a little off...lol
