2013-2014: 10-15

Aside from the Four Years That Shall Not Be Named, we are basically a .500 team, give or take a game or two, over every two year span post-McNabb.

Shafer just knocked that off kilter though. Blame whatever you want, but this year was really awful, even by our own mediocre standards.

I was just thinking...just today. I didn't really follow football until 1970 or so. Since then we really were only good for 12 years of my life 87-98 and one more uptick in '01. We only had about 5 great teams in my life...thank god for hoops.

Yep, but it's that time span 87-98 that so many of us believe is (or should be) the norm.

Not saying we can't get there again, but it will involve a lot of investment (and dare I say some cheating) to get us back to that level again. And I am not sure the current administration is capable of that nor do we appear to have a super donor capable of coming to our rescue.
