Syracuse/Florida Preview

Excellent preview! It is good to see some objective journalism for a change.

Good writeup. Sean does a nice job of incorporating random and interesting facts to support his statements. Don't know how much feedback you want (or how nitpicky you wanted us to get) regarding his writing, but I'll toss some your way:

- the fourth paragraph has a sentence that doesn't quite fit all by itself. "Both of whom are shooting..." I'd change it to read something like "will be eaten alive from outside; both Boynton and Rosario are shooting over 48%..."

- no need to hyphenate "down-town"

- this isn't really anything bad, but as I read it, I didn't feel like I was reading a Syracuse blog until the fourth paragraph. Felt like it could've been on a Gators blog prior to that. Like I said - nothing wrong with it, per se - just my initial impression, and one that did not detract from the article in my opinion.

Those are the only things I noticed. Look forward to more articles from Sean during his years at SU.

Overall it was a nice presentation ... really. But of course there is always something we can nitpik about ... mine is the use of the word "chomping" but hey ... the article was fine and I look forward to reading Sean's articles in the future.

I will pass along the critiques. This is good stuff and I appreciate the feedback. He's just a freshman so I'm sure he will continue to improve. He's a great kid and has a lot of enthusiasm. He also has experience writing for his high school newspaper in CT, so I'm sure he's trying to sound non-bias. I'll make sure to tell him it's OK to sound like we're a Syracuse site. Thanks for the support guys!

I liked "chomping!"

The piece was a good read and I wasn't distracted by spelling and grammatical errors, which often happens nowadays. The kid has a future!

Nice job by him. We have a lot of uber-enthusiastic freshmen this year, it's pretty awesome.

Jonny Flynn should show up just to stare down Rosario during pre-game warm-ups.

Nice preview BTW. The player I'm most afraid of is Boynton, but the most intriguing matchup is Fab vs. Young.

Young is who I am most worried about ... if he starts hitting under the basket then SU will have to adjust opening up the perimeter shooting for Fla. We have to shut down Young ... really push him around. Get him in foul trouble.
