I really think this is a great thing the University does. A great way to give back to the men, women, and families that sacrifice for our country on a daily basis.
Although, they really should let the soldiers treat the players like Private Pyle for the week and whip them into shape.

It is on a military base...I know quite a few soldiers watch. The Ft Drum scrimmage last year had about 2-300 fans but the weather was horrible.

If I remember correctly, the team ran a free clinic for youths on the base and the surrounding areas. Another team/community building aspect of these trips.
