That stupidThe best part of that is the first item in the Comments section:
and that's why we (SU) will always be sub par . we need an attitude adjustment here to have a killer type that is never be satisfied . do I hear REPLACEMENT FOR ERIC WHITE ? YES I DO from a 55 yr old fan of SU sports
I'm never 100% certain if people write crap like this because they want to stir sh$t up or if they really are this stupid.
LOL. I am so glad that discussions on the Board can provide Nate with story ideas.
give it a rest. We just completed our best class in a decade. We are going to kill it this year
White should have told Mink that our new recruiting strategy is to fight it out with Old Dominion for Rutgers de-commits.
It's February 2014 Don't even mention a word about how syracuse is recruiting for the 2015 class. That's just ridiculous
Thanks for worrying so hard, so the rest of us can relax. Our best class is not that impressive. I like some of these kids, but they aren't the top end talent that can keep up with FSU, clemson, louisville and ND. We got some decent WRs and LBs, but they all really need to be developed. We didn't get very many lineman. I think athletically, we've had these type of classes in the past. I'm excited about the prospects and that I hope our staff can develop a few of these kids into regular contributors, but we've got along way to go. We havent had a big RB or DE in a while.
The NCAA is at a breaking point with conference networks, playoffs and recruiting violations. I see the big 5 actually having a chance to move out of the NCAA. If that happens, then Syracuse is going to be stuck where it is. The NCAA, really help with cycling and up and down years. If the alabamas and florida states can use all the tools to just keep rebuilding, smaller schools and schools that have had down years are going to find it hard to climb back up to relevancy.
I trust the process, but I'm scared that we have many un-proven position coaches and the interest in our program from recruits is still relatively low. We're not getting much interest from the big New York state recruits and we're missing out on many of our potential targets from Ohio, PA and NJ early on.
The northeast has a small pool of talent to begin with, and if we fall behind early, that pool gets smaller and smaller. I think we have a chance to meet this years recruiting class, but from the names that have been floating around for the class of 2015 so far, we don't seem to have much interest from those kids. We offered a handful of kids after their sophomore season and their now rising juniors, and those early offers haven't panned out so far.
We haven't signed a Rutgers de-Commit that I can remember and last year we beat some of the big boys for the recruits that we signed, I don't recall ODU among them.
Devine has to look elsewhere. He hasn't been offered, and I understand, not even contacted by SU. Not saying he was a lock but he had strong interest. He hopes to commit by the end of March.I think its disappointing that a number ofhighly touted players have committed elsewhere before even being here for a junior day or an"official type visit." We get all excited about players who take unofficials here, but the program hasn't seemed to reach out to them until its too late. Im thinking a lot about RBs. Andre Robinson, just committed to PSU, even though they have had full classes every year. Devine Ozigbo seems to be looking elsewhere. We havent had a big RB recruit in a while, and you think that would be able to entice at least one quality high school player.

He's had offers from Tulsa, Utah, Iowa, and Miami (Fla). Interest from Baylor, A&M, and some others, including Ok St. I'm not sure where he's leaning but I've been told he wants to commit early so he can focus on school and football. If SU was to contact him they'd realize there is high interest. But it appears they're focused on other players.Any idea where he is looking? I saw he was attending the Oklahoma St Junior Day.

Agree, I'll be a fan wherever he goes. But, damn, I wish it was Orange!Good for him sounds like he has some real nice options. Looking forward to following his career. Have a feeling we will be looking back saying What were we thinking.
We signed to outstanding OL prospects best in years. Our DE is our best at the position on paper in 5 years. Two solid DL players. This is a very strong class. Yes we have a long ways to go to compete with the big boys but this was a very solid step in the right directionOur best class is not that impressive.
