Syracuse / LSU was a fun game to watch

I'm confused...are you saying that LSU doesn't deserve to play Syracuse again?? If so, why would you believe that? If I've misinterpreted your comment, you have my sincere apologies upfront.

Central Michigan is who they are referring to. Their defensive end is the reason we were playing our 5th string walk-on QB, as his late hit gave our QB a concussion and knocked him out of the LSU game.

I think it is in the dome - wonder what kind of reception they will get?
That is correct - the contract is 2 (in Syracuse) for 1 (in whatever town Central Michigan is in).

CMU like others have posted already. Would schedule you guys again in a heart beat.

No, no. Central Michigan cheap shotted our QB. Who was coming on and has people comparing him to lots of greats after 2-3 games.

We're not fond of them currently.
My apologies TheCusian. In all honestly, I'm only 10 days post op for brain surgery, and I really have to take my time to make sure I understand what everyone is saying. Even then, IM still getting a little confused at times. Oh well, I'm still breathing and I'm able to watch the greatest game on earth, which is undoubtedly college football!! I didn't see the cheap shot you were talking about in the CMU game, but I heard it was complete BS. Again, my apologies on the confusion. I'm actually looking forward to playing a The Cuse again. I was honestly very impressed with the way your team played despite the underdog status. Your team deserves a lot of accolades for their performance!

No worries. Hope you're on your feet and cursing Auburn and Alabama again soon. :D

Fournette is amazing, I can't recall a back as good as him - as dominating at least - and we have seen some great backs over the years. He is so good that I wonder how one dimensional it makes a team like LSU to have him? Not that it matters b/c he was trucking for good yardage every time he touched the ball.

LSU is a great program year after year, 2015 is no exception, but you have to admit our folks have a lot to be excited about when we stay competitive with a top ten team with the future Heisman trophy winner. Especially with an offense with an inexperienced walk-on QB that moved nowhere in the first half and began rolling in the second.

I took it as a sign of respect to our efforts that Fournette was in the game even after the onside kick was recovered ...

No need to curse Auburn again this year (yet anyway) as we put the beat down on them a few weeks ago. If all goes well, I believe we probably have the best shot from teams in the SEC to beat Alabama who haven't played them yet. The LSU / Alabama game is always a great football game! Unfortunately we play them in Tuscalosa this year. Right now, I think I'll just keep cursing Ole Miss and TA&M. The SEC west is just brutal. All the same, I wish your Orangemen success the rest of the way down the road as well.

I agree. The effort your boys put forth was amazing. The didn't come out on the field already beat, like so many teams would have done. I give a lot of credit to the players, but to the coaching staff as well for having them ready.

Tell you this...I'll be watching LSU more this year. I said they could lose 2-3 games..is this: You are one dimensional right now and commit way too many penalties. As you said...you could also run the table...good luck the rest of the season.

No worries! Good luck to your team and a speedy recovery to you :)

Oh. I figured you cursed Auburn just on general principle. :)

I watched that game with a stupid S#i+ eating grin on my face the whole game. (No not my normal s#i+ eating expression.). The players were playing so hard and enjoying the hell out of themselves. Fun game. Well worth ever second.

Fournette is a transcendent talent. The OL is also a load to handle and the pounding the SU front 7 took eventually led to a couple of those long TD runs where the seas just parted. From where I sit the LSU coaching tendencies looks to be something of an equalizer. Even though the SU front 7 was outmanned, we were able to sell out against the run and keep #7 in check for the first 3/4 of the game. I'm sure some of our success is attributed to our D's scheme and game plan, but if you've seen the tapes the simplest thing to do is just pass, pass, and pass some more because the secondary is highly suspect. That's where a coaching staff needs to be willing to shake things up a bit, especially when facing teams that are comparable in talent.

Yes, the game was never seemingly in doubt for LSU. BUT let's say SU converts that chippie FG before halftime. Now you're looking at 34-27 attempting that onsides kick. When you're only down 1 or 2 scores crazy things can happen.

Agreed. I'll add that their FB is a beast. He just destroyed Franklin a few times. Unfortunately we had Whigham get toasted by DuPre. Any other CB on DuPre and maybe the results are better. DuPre is pretty good but he isn't anywhere near a Beckham Jr., Julio Jones, Amari Cooper type SEC stud receiver, imo. Fournette is special. Don't think I have seen that kind of raw speed, power, vision in a guy so put together.

To be totally fair and objective, it's also possible LSU's game plan would have been a little different - perhaps less conservative - if they weren't hearing about a walk-on qb all week leading up to the game.
