Syracuse opens -2.5 at GTECH

I’m not shocked. At quick glance, their losses are worse than ours and I don’t see any impressive wins.

And it’s GT on a Tuesday (during break?) so home court advantage isn’t really a thing.

Still looking for reasonably priced tickets for the game...
They've come down a bit in price, maybe they'll drop some more on game day.

I will go to support the team (as always)... hoping for a decent result with better game play and the real return of Donnie.

Opened a few points better for us than I expected... per my scan of KP's ADJEM, the opening should come in closer to Syracuse -0.5, as KP and Vegas opening typically are the same, or very close.

Idk exactly how Kenpom’s stuff works, but does his model take injuries into account (looking at the metrics of each available player and arriving at a number) , or is it just smashing together the metrics of how the team, as a whole, has performed and spitting out a number?

If it’s the latter, I imagine the difference is almost entirely Vegas assuming SU is better with Donnie.

That makes sense. I overlooked the Donnie factor and KP from the way I understand it would not adjust for that,

I did think of the Donnie factor when the Clemson game line was put out, and to my surprise it didn't make a difference in that one. But would have to think it is the reason now.

Was George their best player last year?
George's first 2 years at GT were kind've crazy. He crushed it in some big games with Duke/UNC/Clemson and then was a no show in alot of the bottom of the league. Going to need to George to shoot better if we want to win more. Pretty much everyone though.

Wonder if for Clemson the starting lineups got leaked and people knew he wasn't starting? That could've moved the line a little considering maybe people assumed that he was on a pitch count which he pretty much was.

Clemson was pretty physical and he Donnie was giving them everything they gave him late. Assuming he is back in the starting lineup tonight and if he's able to be on the court 35 mins a game that will be interesting how the spread looks going forward.

Ticket purchased.
I'll be the loud fan on TV. 🤣

FWIW Georgia Tech lost to DePaul by 14 at home. DePaul hasn’t been .500 in 6 years.
